This is my favorite quote from Marilyn Monroe, she is basically saying that it is better to be alone than to settle with just anyone.

i like this quote. it defeats the whole notion from the article you posted a while ago, and the other one a commenter posted about how women should settle for a man because they would be happier in the long run if they did than they would be alone. it's interesting what the article says, very well written and speaks some truths, but...what if a typical marriage isn't more important to me than love in the first place, has never been and will never be? settling isn't for everyon.
