So, as those of you who read this blog regularly have probably noticed, I haven't posted anything new for you in exactly a month. This is because I have been on hiatus. First my brother had a heart attack. He is only 39 years old. He is fine, but it was terrifying. Then my computer died. It was the hard drive and I lost everything. No, I did not have any of it backed up. In this day and age of simple, powerful technology, why would I have done an intelligent thing like that? Then, I went on vacation in France. It was amazing and lovely and relaxing, a much needed respite from the 2 jobs I work and the book I am trying to write. France was everything you'd expect it to be: narrow streets, baguettes and croissants, wine, lots of French language practice, cathedrals, castles, and chateaux. I was gone for 2 whole weeks and I still did not want to come back.
But like all things good and bad in life, the vacation ended, my other computer is back, and now it's time for me to get back to work.

Hooray! You're back! I discovered your blog about a week ago while trying to educate myself on the trials and tribulations of going blonde. Obviously, your blog is so much more. Fascinating. I'm now very much looking forward to your book. So, keep on keeping on!
